April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey at the age of 7 when she started piano and guitar classes. The first song she wrote was called Different which she composed at the age of 12. When she was 14 April devoted a great deal of time in creating song concepts and practicing her musical skills. Then, she began going to NY and LA together with her father to help them to write songs. April also began incorporating additional relevant subjects into the"Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart also has an ever-growing following as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. The truth is that she was born without a left hand, and it is what makes her different. But this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not conceal her being disabled, but neither does it make a point of it. The message is? The message? We have many different aspects, that our physical and identity selves are not all that they appear. Lockhart has stated on video that she didn't want to be defined by her handicap. She does not want to become an advocate for disabled people who only speaks about it. There are a variety of aspects of Lockhart. It doesn't impact my daily routine. I go about my business as usual and have developed different ways of adapting. It's also a part of me, and I believe that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart inspires us to keep going with self-acceptance. She admits that she's been through phases with her body, at times, not being confident in wearing particular types of clothes which showed the arms of her. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she'd like. and she shares her pictures to social networks. The key to self-love for her is that it's not a goal. This is a process, and I don't think you ever reach your destination. It is essential to be surrounded by those who are able to see the person you are.
