Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I was a gruelling 12 hour days cleaning floors and tear down wallpaper one child strapped on my back while the other babies were crawling into the playpen. Ha! The house was starting to appear nice, however there were still many things left. The project would require the time, energy, and of course my favourite shopping experience to complete the interior of this house. In order to stay within my budget, I began attending estate sales with my three brothers to search for gems hidden in the dirt. We used to go on a weekly basis of walking around auctions and garage sales on the weekend and purchase a range of pieces old and newly constructed. It was my job to spend the day in the driveway painting or sanding. My love for furniture repair started with an appearance similar to this. The issue was not whether our house had already been equipped. There was an area in the market where I would sell my pieces. There were numerous pieces that I did not know what to do and I outgrew my space. In my own home, I would host open houses in which more than 1,000 people were able to come in and buy any item they wanted from the first floor within a single weekend. Growing Days was founded in my house. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our family of four. The balance was between the start of a company as well as being a mom. Growing Days was the obvious choice. Nora was born in 2013 as our 4th baby. Though I was content about the direction my company took, I felt like I was in need of some time off. I made the decision to take a break and spend some time at home, with my kids. It was exactly what I was looking for. But after a couple of months without a phone, it began to call. I was getting calls from people asking for help with decorating their homes and interior renovations. These people had mostly been to my home during open houses to purchase furniture. The time flew by before I was managing a full-scale home renovation company. It began with taking clients on one in a manner that I was at ease with. It is likely that I would have been laughing if someone had told me the company was to become the basis for an upcoming tv program on DIY Network. It's true that I smile when I think about the idea.
