Jenna Fischer's most famous role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In recognition of her work, she was awarded the Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in an Supporting Role. She also won the award for two SAG Awards.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna's mother Anne used to perform in dramas at church in her younger years This sparked her interest in theater.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy. After starring in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in at the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the co-star of Fischer) as well as her actual best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has landed in the Top Ten every single week. Its first year, it received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in the month of January in 2021.
She has written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her journey to Hollywood acting as a professional as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were There, an account of the most memorable friendship they had and their time on The Office.
